Cyberduck is an open-source FTP/SFTP client that's compatible with Macintoshes running both OS X system software as well as the more modern macOS.

Enterprise users that have mission-critical applications deployed through Amazon S3, Backblaze B2 or Microsoft Azure might have some difficulty getting these programs to interface with their Macs. Cyberduck abstracts everything away from the user so you don't have to think about all of the networking protocols needed to connect to their software.

All you need to do is tell the software which servers to connect to. You'll then be able to upload or download files via a standard FTP interface.

To make things even easier, the app presents all of the files you can download as entries in a long tree listing. You'll be able to use it just as easily as any standard file browser. In fact, it's default interface resemble's Apple's own Finder.

As a result, IT department staffers who have to roll Cyberduck out to a number of people simultaneously won't have to spend much time training them to work with it. Your personnel more than likely already have the skills needed to transfer even large collections of files to and from a remote server.

That being said, Cyberduck isn't a simple program that lacks power user features. While the basic app is simple to use, it includes a great deal of functionality hidden under the hood. Those who have special use cases or who want to take control of every aspect of the transfer process can do so with just a few clicks.

Configuration menus and settings boxes might need seem like the most common things in the Macintosh environment environment, but Cyberduck's developers didn't skimp on these vital assets.

In fact, users can set specific command line options if they'd like. Cyberduck ships with a CLI version of the main app as well, which works with Apple's own Terminal app. You shouldn't have any difficulty with it even if you're using tsch instead of the Bourne Again Shell.

Considering how flexible Cyberduck is and how many different technologies it supports, network administrators shouldn't have any problems integrating it into their company's workflows.
